Our church community is deeply committed to the vision of God’s reign on earth in the spirit and teaching of Jesus Christ. We believe that the church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, has no other purpose than to be a servant community to the world, continuing the ministry and mission of our Lord when he proclaimed, "I am come, that they may have life, and that, more abundantly." John 10:10 We are here as he was here, “to bring good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”- Luke 4:18, 19. That good news hasn’t changed in two thousand years; it is our calling and purpose, the heart of being who we are.
